Beyond Barriers
Support and Mentoring
Support for Carers

Are you or do you know a carer or former carer who may benefit from some support to:

  • Learn how to use a computer

  • Emotional support for their caring role

  • Someone to talk to about what they need

  • Support to develop existing and acquire new skills

  • Assistance in signposting to other services needed

  • Support to achieve their goals.

We provide support and mentoring to those who may not be using statutory agencies or services. You may not consider yourself a carers, even though you may be caring or have cared for another person. This may be a partner, adult or child with physical or learning disabilities or adults with mental health issues.

Who is the service for?

The Beyond Barriers Project is designed to work specifically with hard to reach communities such as Refugees, Black and Ethnic Minorities and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) people.

Our goal is to provide support and mentoring to those who may not use statutory agencies or services and perhaps may not consider themselves as carers, even though they may be caring for or have cared for an older person, a partner, adult or child with physical or learning disabilities or adults with mental health issues.
